An integrative psychotherapy session takes a creative and eclectic approach to talk therapy. The clinician combines elements from multiple evidence-based modalities, drawing on their diverse training to ensure a person-centered treatment plan tailored to your unique needs and experiences.

Kristen’s practice is guided by Trauma-Focused Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Attachment-Focused EMDR, Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, and somatic practices.

Sessions can be booked online by selecting either “Initial Intake Session” or “Individual Follow-up Session,” both available in-person or via telehealth. Extended session times are offered exclusively for Attachment-Focused EMDR or IFS Parts Work and must be arranged in advance with the clinician.

Cost: $190 (includes 50 minutes in session and 10 minutes for file notation).

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a highly effective therapy for trauma that incorporates a mind-body-emotion technique called bilateral stimulation (BLS). The therapist uses BLS methods, such as eye movements, sounds, or taps, to help process unconscious memories or traumatic events and shift them to a more functional part of the brain.

Abuse and trauma can create gaps in the development of neural networks in the brain, often manifesting later as anxiety, depression, or challenges with emotional regulation. Attachment-Focused EMDR (AF-EMDR) is specifically designed to be safer for individuals who developed an insecure attachment style as a survival response to childhood neglect, abuse, abandonment, emotional misattunement, or mistreatment. AF-EMDR supports the brain in rewiring new neural pathways to repair these gaps, alleviate deeply rooted pain and feelings of inadequacy, and foster emotional stability and security.

• $285: Extended session (1 hour 20 minutes, plus 10 minutes for file notation)

Parts Work sessions are informed by the Internal Family Systems (IFS) approach. “Parts” is an IFS term used to describe the different subpersonalities within our mind. We are all born with parts, each with its own unique thoughts, feelings, and beliefs. Traumatic life events can wound these parts, burdening them with extreme roles as they attempt to protect the system. Importantly, all parts have good intentions—there are no “bad” parts.

The roles our parts play influence how we function and relate to others in our external world. By getting to know our parts, we can help them release their burdens and shift how they show up in our systems. As we heal internally, our relationships and external challenges are also transformed. Once healed, our parts continue to inform us, but our Self energy—the core of who we are—is freed to lead the system with clarity and balance.

Session Options:

• Standard session: 50 minutes (plus 10 minutes for file notation)

• Intensive session: 1 hour 45 minutes (plus 15 minutes for file notation), offered when collaboratively determined by the client and clinician. Option for sessions up to 3-hours long.

Cost:

• $190: Standard session

• $380: Intensive session for 2-hours or $190 for each additional hour.

Many insurance companies will only cover a standard session and therefore, the remaining balance must be feasible for the participant to cover out of pocket.
